The “Let's Go and Have One-Night and Two-Day Experiences!” Program has received popular reactions from foreign nationals. It's a program created by Chungnam Province in commemoration of “2010, Year of Chungnam's Folk Culture.”

The program invited 35 museum curators from 22 countries to stay at an old house and experience the traditional culture of Chungnam on October 17 and 18, 2010.

The participants were foreign nationals in their twenties or thirties who wanted to learn Korean culture through the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Their nationalities were diverse, ranging from Bulgaria in Europe to Sudan in Africa. They visited Korea for many different reasons including taking an in-service training session at the National Museum of Korea or learning Taekwondo.

The Myeongjae head family of Nonsan offered its old house for the program. The participants made the head family's traditional foods and ate them. After appreciating traditional Korean music in the evening, they stayed at the old house for the night. The next day, they had talks with the eldest grandson of the head family, obtaining living knowledge of the traditional culture, and engaged in Korean-style archery in the evening, having a meaningful time.

Chungnam also ran a program involving experiencing an old traditional house for one night and two days on October 2 and 3 by inviting multicultural families to Gongju, who were given a chance to appreciate modern performances of traditional Korean music. Part of the projects in commemoration of “2010, Year of Chungnam's Folk Culture,” the “Let's Go and Have One-Night and Two-Day Experiences!” Program was run over a total of 13 sessions in 2010, in which about 650 people participated. It received very favorable reactions as an event to provide urban citizens and their children with an opportunity to experience the traditional folk and agricultural cultures that are gradually disappearing.
