Chungnam Province announced on the 26th that the 'Seosan Cheonsu Bay Bike Path,' known nationwide after being included in the Beautiful Bike Paths Top 100 by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in 2016, has been selected by the Korea Tourism Organization as one of the top places to visit in March.
 
Every month, the organization announces five locations based on a theme, and along with Seosan City, the selected places include △Siheung Greenway Bike Path (Gyeonggi Siheung), △Gangneung Gyeongpo Lake Bike Path (Gangwon Gangneung), △Yeongju Bike Path (North Gyeongsang Yeongju), and △Gwangyang Seomjin River Bike Path (South Jeolla Gwangyang).
 
The Cheonsu Bay Bike Path is an ideal location for experiencing the fresh natural scenery while riding, stretching from Woncheong-ri in Taean County to Namsung Harbor in Hongseong County, passing through the Seosan A and B District Embankments, typically taking about 3-4 hours to complete.
 
The path from Gapsa Temple to Sinchang Reservoir and Seosan Hanwoo Ranch, known as the Cherry Blossom Road, winds through green hills and scenic views, earning it the nickname "Korea's Little Alps." It connects to significant cultural sites like the well-preserved Seosan Haemieupseong Fortress and Haemi International Sanctuary, offering a perfect ride in the gentle spring breeze.
 
Nearby attractions include △Cheonsu Bay, a major domestic migratory bird habitat, △Seosan Birdland observing the avian ecosystem in the Seosan reclamation area, △Changri Marina Port, △the famous sunset spot Ganwolam, △the Marine Fishing Park, △Gungripo Port known for its jumbo shrimp and ark clams, and △Sokdong Observatory, among other renowned tourist spots.
 
In addition, visitors can enjoy the vast landscapes between the West Sea and extensive farmlands and engage in ecological experiences, tourism, and leisure activities around the Seosan reclamation area dyke, constructed using the world's first oil tanker water-blocking method, making it a perfect healthy two-day trip for families.
 
Following this selection, the province has achieved the feat of being listed in recommended tourist sites for three consecutive months, following Hongseong Yongbongsan and Buyeo Gyeryongsan in January and February.
 
The province plans to actively develop and promote a variety of tourism courses that align with recent trends, producing guides and utilizing various media for online and offline marketing.
 
A provincial official stated, "We will continue to work hard to ensure more excellent tourist destinations in Chungnam are recommended to the national public. We aim to open the era of 50 million tourists in Chungnam by 2026 through strategic, focused promotions in preparation for the 'Visit Chungnam Year' in 2025-2026."
