Chungcheongnam-do is providing scouts participating in the 2023 Saemangeum World Jamboree with the flavors, styles, and excitement of the province.

In accordance with the government's policy to expand outdoor programs due to the heat wave and other factors, safe and clean accommodations are being arranged for the participating scouts. Additionally, various tourism programs such as the Mud Festival and tours of historical and cultural sites in Gongju and Buyeo are being offered.

To ensure the comfort of the participating scouts, the province has secured facilities in 10 locations across 6 cities and counties within the province, including youth training centers and youth hostels.

Facilities such as Gongju Youth Hostel can accommodate 800 individuals, Gyeryong Gapasa Youth Hostel can accommodate 500 individuals, and Buyeo Youth Training Center can accommodate 300 individuals, totaling 3000 people per day.

Special programs have been prepared for the scout members to enjoy while staying in Chungcheongnam-do.

To allow the scout members to experience the global event of the Boryeong Mud Festival, the "Mud Massage Self-Zone" will be extended for 4 days from the 7th to the 10th of the month.

Near the mud festival grounds, at Daecheon Beach, exciting experiences such as ziplining and skybiking are available. At the Boryeong Nangpung Bathhouse, a refreshing breeze capable of dispelling the heat wave can be enjoyed, while the Coal Museum offers insights into South Korea's coal industry.

Furthermore, the province has prepared 18 tourism and experiential programs that are intertwined with Chungcheongnam-do's history and culture, including UNESCO World Heritage sites like Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress, Muryeongwangneung Royal Tombs, and Wangneungwon. There are also plans for cultural sites like Buyeo Baekje Cultural Land, Seocheon Ecology, and Nonsan Military Experience.

Additionally, programs for 10 temple stays, allowing participants to experience South Korea's Buddhist traditional culture and temple life, will be conducted at locations such as Gongju Magoksa Temple, Korean Cultural Training Institute, and Yesan Sudeoksa Temple.

A provincial official stated, "We have prepared programs that introduce the flavors, styles, and excitement of Chungcheongnam-do to the participating scout members. We will place cultural tourism guides at each site to ensure the scout members receive informative and comfortable guidance, enhancing their understanding of historical and cultural aspects. Our focus is also on ensuring comprehensive safety management."

Moreover, the province plans to promote the Daeje Festival scheduled for September in Gongju and Buyeo to scout members and leaders, with the aim of welcoming overseas tourists and becoming a gateway for their arrival.
