On the 10th, Chungnam Province announced its plans to expand the role of overseas offices, encompassing not only conventional trade promotion but also attracting foreign investment and enhancing international exchange.

Prior to the expansion of overseas office roles, the province conducted a joint training program from the 5th to the 7th of the past month for three newly appointed overseas office chiefs and two existing office chiefs, aimed at strengthening their capabilities.

This training program began with sharing the operational know-how of existing overseas office chiefs in India and Indonesia, followed by company site visits, meetings with higher-ups, and specialized sector workshops.

During this period, the participants visited (주)WooYang, DaeHan ENC, and BlueTech, companies in the province with experience utilizing existing overseas offices, to listen to advanced cases of solving export-related challenges and to deeply discuss improvements in overseas office operations.

Kim Tae-Heum, the provincial governor, met with the overseas office chiefs during the training period, expressing his gratitude for the hard work of Ha Seung-Chang and Ha Won-Jeong, and showing support for the active engagement of the new overseas office chiefs.

Governor Kim stated, "Let's expand the role of overseas offices, which have been primarily focused on trade promotion aligned with domestic and local companies' demands, to include foreign investment attraction and international exchange. I urge overseas office chiefs to take a proactive stance in advancing the globalization of the province."

Earlier, the province revealed its plan to expand the operation of overseas offices. Following the passage of the proposal for the establishment of the provincial council in May, internal recruitment led to the selection of Chung Hoon-Hee, Seong Yong-Chan, and Jung Geol-Gi as directors of the overseas offices in Germany, Japan, and Vietnam, respectively.

The India and Indonesia offices have retained Ha Seung-Chang and Ha Won-Jeong, respected experts from the private sector, as their chiefs due to their significant contribution to the positive response from exporting companies in the province.

Yoon Joo-Young, the Deputy Director of Investment and Trade Policy, stated, "We plan to dispatch newly appointed overseas office chiefs until August and promptly proceed with subsequent procedures aiming to establish the German and Japanese offices by October."
